I use a simple multitracker with four channels. I introduce the sounds that I recorded with the aid of walkman. I register a track to time and every track is independent from the other. in this manner I think that the sounds be freer and every time that I play I obtain some different compositions that depend, I think, from my state of mind. I think that the utilization of the tapes is had to to the fact that I feel them more animals,,, In my work the chance nature and the mistake are fundamental. My sounds are free and, how I said, independent from my intervention that is able to be smaller but also worthless.

The composition is based on pulsations and rythmic elements with a few sound tones. The kind of texture, and two "veiled separate" internal moments, came out freely. An expressionist form still survives in the construction. Everything just happens. The piece has been entirely processed by machine computer.

Bushin Gokyu Ho


For Computer processed Cello sounds.

The aim of the author is to describe, through an original soundscape, a warrior's dream just before a decisive battle. In the dream the warrior faces his alter ego, by observing him with fear and running away from this vision. An atmosphere symbolically suspended between the inconsistent quality of the dream and the well known reality of the war horrors represents the situation. This is achieved by creating the contrast between extremely rarefied sounds and the sudden intervention of powerful transients and rough scratching timbres. The piece's underline texture is built upon a sonorous reference to the four fundamental elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Air) to which the metal of the weapons is added. The author makes an ideal connection to the emotional and onirical framework of the Daimio's Double dream scene from the movie "Kagemusha" by Akira Kurosawa.
